Dermal Filler
Dermal filler is a synthetic gel like product which was designed to replace and hydrate the loss of volume in the face and/or augment to create shape and definition. The results ultimately are to diminish existing lines and wrinkles, creating a softer look.
Dermal filler is predominately made of hyaluronic acid (HA) within the UK. As HA is one of the safest forms of dermal filler on the market, with a reversing antidote available for complications.
At Cotswold & County Aesthetics we use Allergan’s Juvéderm Ultra and Vycross range of dermal filler in view of its soft and forgiving results creating a more natural look.
Dermal filler can be used to enhance or augment the lips to give more shape, add volume to thin lips and create a fuller and more defined appearance
The most common fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural building block of skin, and calcium hydroxylapatite, typically found in bones. Both have been shown to help stimulate the growth of collagen in addition to plumping the skin.
